Private Healthcare Insurance Information

At The Lab Physio Clinic, we facilitate direct billing for several insurance providers including Allianz Partners, Aviva, AXA PPP, Cigna and WPA on your behalf.

However, it’s imperative to note that while we assist in processing your claims, you remain responsible for any incurred costs as outlined in your policy.

We strongly advise verifying whether a referral from a doctor or consultant is necessary before initiating treatment, as insurance policies vary significantly.

We recommend confirming your insurance coverage in advance as each insurance policy is different.

Prior to your initial appointment, please ensure you have the following information:

  • Your current membership number and injury pre-authorisation code from your insurance provider.
  • Knowledge of your policy limitations, including your excess amount and the session limits or the amount of money that has been approved.
  • Any referral letters, scans, or reports for your condition.

It is important to understand the reasons why your insurance company may not honour an invoice submitted by us:

  • Your insurance policy likely includes an excess amount, which may need to be paid directly to The Lab Physio Clinic.
  • If you’ve reached your maximum benefit limit, any treatment costs exceeding this threshold will be your responsibility. Some policies impose restrictions on the number of treatment sessions allowed, necessitating payment for additional sessions.
  • Certain insurers may not permit multiple appointments on the same day.
  • Failure to provide relevant authorisation or if your employer has to authorise treatment then you may not have this benefit available until it is authorised.

In the event of any of the above situations, you, as the patient, will be responsible for settling any outstanding fees incurred from the treatment received at our clinic.

It’s essential to note that physiotherapy treatment is the only eligible expense for insurance claims. The following list is not covered under insurance claims:

  • missed appointments
  • sports massage
  • home visits
